The first unit failed with the dreaded FO error code. I went through all the steps to get it replaced and paid to recycle the original because no one will attempt to repair it. The new replacement failed after only two months, showing the same error code. Like others, I cannot get a response from the manufacturer. I cannot recommend Frigidaire products anymore.

Purchased end of May 2018 and worked well for 2 summers. Middle of summer 2020 the unit displayed the "F0" error code and does not respond when pushing buttons. Unplugging the device resets the error, but the error code returns shortly after plugging back in. Emailed customer service a week ago and have not received a response. Unless Frigidaire will send a replacement, I won't be buying another Frigidaire dehumidifier.

I have been using this dehumidifier for over a year now and am happy with its performance. My apartment is very humid in the fall and winter months. The unit runs nearly constantly at these times and is working quite well still.

I have been restoring my basement to a non-wet zone. I purchased the Frigidaire 70 pint to help accomplish that goal. I initially started with the Frigidaire using the internal bucket method. The machine ran continuously filling the bucket in about six hours but in about three days got the humidity level down to 50 percent from about 75 percent. I then switched to the hose outlet method and the Frigidaire continues to bring the humidity down to 45 percent level, my target goal. The machine is robust in its performance with a fan strong enough to mix the basement's air. Couldn't be more pleased.

I bought this unit in March 2019. We have a large basement and I keep two dehumidifiers running down there to keep it dry (South Carolina). This one worked great until mid September 2020, then I got the F0 code. On the phone (hold) with Frigidaire right now to see what options I have.

I purchased this three years ago. It has not been heavily used. I now keep getting a message FO which means that I would have to send it somewhere to be fixed. Total cost would not be worth it. Not a dependable unit.

I bought this item in June 2019 and it only worked for 8 months before it gave me the F0 code. I've tried all the tips provided by Frigidaire and still doesn't work. The customers support is horrific and will not let you through to speak with a customer service to request an exchange. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a global technology manufacture. At this point I don't know what else to do to have this issue solve and get a replacement unit. As of right now my basement humidity is 68*F and it is starting to cause quite a bit issues. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS

I bought two of these a couple years backs and they are incredible units. They remove a lot of moisture from the air and are very accurate as my humidity measured by a hydrometer with memory shows it staying in a very narrow range exactly as set. One of them went bad with what appears to be a leak of the cooling system, but that™™s guaranteed for 5 years. Anyway, after a few emails to ask about getting it repaired and the warranty on the 5 year parts, I never got a response. I sent another and agin no response. I found a good deal on the same model as overstock and bought it to replace the bad one and it™™s working perfectly. I sent yet another email about the repair on the bad unit and again no response other than that they got the email. This has been going on for a couple months now. I don™™t expect them to ever get back to me. Like I said, these are great units and dependable, but the warranty is useless since you™™ll never get any response if you do have any issues.

After 2 years in service this unit started showing an F0 code and stops working. It seems to be impossible to get through to the warranty people. I just want a unit that works. Please advise the procedure to apply for a warranty replacement unit. Trying to make a phone call is useless.

To anyone experiencing the F0 code if you remove the back cover there is a black wire running to the condensor that is a sensor that sensor will need to be cleaned off for the unit to operate there was a youtube video on this issue

Bought this a few years ago. Haven™™t used all that much. Has F0 code which I read is not specific and not good. Tried all of the ideas I read online to fix it and nothing has worked. Called Frigidaire ™support™ and it hangs up on me and says they are too busy.

I am on my 3rd 70pt dehumidifier from Frigidaire. Received the 3rd one July 2019. Freezes up just like the last two. They do not last more than a year to year and half. Completely dissatisfied with Frigidaire product.

I bought my first unit in 2016. Two years later a failure code F0 showed in its display. Another unit from 2018 has failed at the two-year mark with icing at the air intake leaving huge water puddles on the floor after melting. It cannot maintain its 45% setting, showing humidity levels at 60%. Both units were maintained per the manual. Consistent two-year failures!

When our old dehumidifier stopped working, it was the hottest most humid time during this summer. I knew something was a miss just smelling the air. Shopping when you are in a hurry is never a good thing. But this one quickly rose to the top of many an article. That was easy...finding one was not. All the places who *did* carry them were out of stock, except one which was the priciest. However, it was worth it. This unit took the humidity out of the air within a day...or at at least brought it down to 40-50%. We attached ours to the sump pump, so there is no emptying of the container. It runs quietly and efficiently. The air smells fresh. Yea!

I bought my 1st on 4/25/16 at Amazon after a little over a year the F0 error started.I replace the sensor and it worked for a little longer, than F0 again.I bought the second one 9/30/17 , again from Amazon , a few months ago the F0 errorshow up again. No help from frigidaire on this.

Purchased unit on 4/17/17 from Best Buy, unit worked well until recently then started giving me an F0 Error message. Filter is clean, coils are clean, fan moves a ton of air but then I get the F0 error code which triggers in about 45 minutes after plugging it back in to reset it. Blew some air into a sensor on the back of the unit and the F0 error quit happening but now the unit runs and just ices up and does not dehumidify until I power it off to let the ice melt. Power it back on and it ices up all over again. Used in basement family room kept at about 70 degrees. Tried calling support to see if I was missing something and got a message due to call volume they were not taking calls and was disconnected. Hmmm, some support.

This dehumidifier worked great for about year. Then it started turning itself off every couple of days and displaying an FO error. Apparently a common problem. I tried to call Fridgidare multiple times but you can never get through to anyone. About a month ago I sent an email describing the problem through their website. Haven't heard anything yet.

Bought from Amazon. The unit worked ok for a couple of years but now got the F0 and tried everything -- unplug to reset, filter cleaning, etc. Nothing worked. Called customer service and was on hold and then the phone dropped. My last dehumidifier lasted much longer. This product is a BIG disappointment!

Display on my FFAD7033R1A dehumidifier reads "F0" , Outlet voltage 110V and surrounding temperature is with in the range of 41 °F (5 °C) to 90 °F (32 °C). The "F0" code persists.

Bought this unit to help lower humidity. Live in central Texas. Works great a month in. does increase energy bill a bit obviously and adds some heat load to house but overall seems worth it to remove water from air that could be fostering mold growth.

I bought this unit 8/10/2018, used it for 2 summers (2018 and 2019) and now in 2020 it doesn't work. After an hour of running, it shows the F0 error code and no condensation in the bucket. Have been trying to get a hold of customer service (via phone), but it disconnects my call due to 'high call volume'. How can this be remedied?!?

I've had this good-looking appliance for 11 months now. It works well. I've just noticed that it was running on High fan speed, even though I've had it on Low all along. Using the button on the control pad, the fan wouldn't respond. I learned from the user manual that if there are error codes, one should disconnect the dehumidifier from the power outlet. Although I had no error code, I did that. The fan speed can now again be controlled by the button. I guess it was a digital software hangup. All is well now. I like the machine and hope that it will not develop any serious problems or break down for a long time.

Used this dehumidifier for a total of 5 months, just in the hottest and most humid months of summer. It worked fine until I tried to turn it back on last month. This large capacity home dehumidifier is a great machine. So far it has really taken the damp feeling out of our basement and made it into a very comfortable and desirable place in our home. The collection chamber is easy to pull out and replace, and even though the machine automatically stops when it is full of water, the clear circle window in the front of the chamber lets you know how full the bin is. Since I use it in the basement while we sleep upstairs, I don't worry about the noise. But for other users, be aware that this is not a quiet machine. It removes moisture really well, so it wasn't as much of a concern for me. There is a good amount of heat removed during the process, so you will have that hot air being blown out the back of the unit. Though I didn't have any problems, you should make sure to give the proper clearances around the unit before pluggin it in and running it.

I bought this in 2018 and now its leaking from all over base. I tried to remove air filter and saw big block of ice on back. Opened up the unit to see all condenser and evaporator coils frozen. Cleaned up entire unit including all ice (took 2 hours). Started again and same issue.

I purchased this unit in 2018 and was very happy with it. I purchased 2 more for other residences. Now less than 2 years later it has an F0 code displayed. I spoke with customer service and there is no fix. Appears this is a very common problem. So now it™™s a useless piece of garbage. Time to find a different brand of dehumidifier.

We purchased this unit summer of 2018. It worked great and our humidity level in the basement went from 65% to 40%. We got the F0 code at the start of the 2020 summer. Called Frigidaire and got a new unit sent. The new one is not as sleek looking as the older model but the improvements in the design are great. Hopefully they have also fixed the issue with the F0 code. I™™ll know in 2 years!

Aug 5, 2018 bought from Bestbuy. Frigidaire - 70-Pint Dehumidifier - WhiteFrigidaire - 70-Pint Dehumidifier - White - Larger Front, Model: FFAD7033R1Now June 2020, This unit. icing up and dehumidifing diminished substantially in a room that is at 70-71 degrees F. I turn it off to thaw but it ices up again when I run it. I don't understand why a simple device like a dehumidifier does this. If the coil temperature always remained above freezing but below the dew point, it should not ice up. This suggests a failure in the controlling electronics somewhere. Other functions seem to work at the moment. This one is past the warranty period so I have no recourse. No one in our area will fix these things.I had a 30 pint unit like this bought from Amazon that showed F0 (no operate) but fortunately did it within the warranty limit. I had to cut off the plug, sent pictures of the unit to Frigidaire and they sent me a new unit. Now I am stuck with a dead unit that NO ONE will take for recycling. It is still sitting in my garage. The replacement is still working at this time. I don't expect it to do it much longer given my experience so far. The real problem remains that these units are NO LONGER MADE IN THE USA; they are cheap knockoffs made in China. I would pay more for one if it would last 10 years like the ones that WERE made in the USA. Vote for made in the USA!

I have bought two previous Frigidaire dehumidifiers with no problems. The only thing I don't like is emptying the water bucket. It hard to remove.It takes a lot of effort to pull out.

Similar to other reviewers I received the dreaded F0 error have 2 years of minimal summer only usage. Have received no response from customer service and the customer service hotline just disconnects. Would not purchase this unit until the issue is rectified.

Purchased this to remove humidity in the basement from Best Buy. At the time, I had purchased the extended warranty to be safe. However - without fail, a month and half after the warranty ended, up came the dreaded F0 error, and the unit shuts down. I've tried contacting Frigidaire via email and Twitter as well, and it's radio silent. No response as of yet. I'm hoping I can at least rate their customer service and their ability to resolve this, but at this time, this is a solid DO NOT BUY.

I bought this humidifier in February 2018 after seeing positive reviews online. It dehumidified great until the coils behind the filter started freezing up. The filter is clean, it's operating in proper temperatures, and nothing else is otherwise wrong. Frustrating to have spent the money on an appliance that made it only over 2 summers.

I bought this last summer and so far it works well. However, the bucket has dirt built up on the bottom and there is no way to take the top lid off to clean it well. Not the best design.

Bought Feb 2019. As others experienced, started getting F0 withing 6-7 months. Kept unplugging per the instructions. Now I get F0 every 5 minutes. Repair centers won't take it. Trying to call customer service since April - couldn't connect yet (it is June 29, 2020). It is beyond frustrating. This unit is a total waste of time and money.

I bought this dehumidifier on May 16 2017 and only ran it for 3 months during summer. As I took it out storage in my basement in May 2020 the dreaded F0 error code. Did all the regular maintenance and followed the owners manual but it does not work. I have a Frigidaire refrigerator that I still use after 10 years and it`s still working fine. So when I decided to purchase a new dehumidifier I did not hesitate to purchase this brand. I called the service line on June 22 and waited on the phone line for 45 minutes with no reply!!! I had already registered my dehumidifier on the canadian website but as I logged on to see if I could get some sort of clue on how to resolve the F0 code error, my appliance was not even there!!! If Electrolux can`t back their products better this might just be the end of the line.. Please DO NOT take your loyal client for granted!!!

This product got high ratings but does not last. I keep getting FO errors and it won™™t stay on for more than 5 minutes. I™™m very disappointed in this product. I reached out to the customer service and received no response. It™™s a shame Frigidaire won™™t make this right..
