The washer works okay, but there is no start and stop feature. If you push the little cancel/pause button, the sensor light stays on! Once the washer starts, it doesn't stop until a full load is run.

Things I like and things I don't

So far, so good. The machine is quiet and is cleaning my clothes just fine. We have been using it a week now and used it for about 4 loads. We needed a smaller unit for our space and preferred having an agitator because we feel it cleans our clothes better. I am missing the timer bell that tells me when my load is done. And I do not care for the fact that I cannot select my load size; this unit has an auto-sensing-fill feature. This feature decides for you how much water is needed for your load. The reason I don't like it is that I use liquid detergent and sometimes liquid pods and the water won't start filling the basin until I close the lid and push the start button. I prefer to water down my detergent prior to loading my dirty laundry. This is my first machine with the "quick wash" feature and I'm liking that.

The washer looks nice, the additional capacity over the old washer is appreciated, but the loud, awful grinding noise the machine makes when the impeller rotates is maddening. The two loads of clothes I have washed since the machines installation have come out clean, but the impeller noise makes one wonder just how many more cycles the machine has in it before it literally grinds to a halt.

This little washer is a workhorse! Towels, many, were actually no problem. It powered through everything I have thrown in it! Easy to use, and almost makes doing laundry less of a chore. Best of all, for me, I can reach the bottom of the tub w/o having to stand on my tip-toes! I've decided that this washer is a Samson, while the dryer is Delilah(cuz she's a hottie)😉😉

"Deep Water Wash" is great. Closer to the original quantity of water used in older machines. Unhappy with the locking mechanism when washer is filling with water. When measuring liquid Tide you can't rinse the measuring cup. The lock keeps you from looking at the agitation and water movement in the washing mode. Very unhappy with the excessive vibration of the entire machine in the spin cycle. This also happened if nothing (clothing or water) was in the washer while spinning. The Owner's Manual was not included with the machine. I have used Whirlpool Appliances all my life and have been very satisfied with them. This one may be more difficult.

I hate that it won™€™t start filling up with water until the clothes are in it and you push start. It agitates too slowly and it takes an hour and fifteen minutes to wash a load of clothes. Also I don™€™t like that I can™€™t open the lid while it™€™s washing to add something to the wash. Other than that I guess it™€™s a decent machine.

Buyer Beware!

We have had problems with this washing machine within months of purchase in August of 2025. It is ripping sheets, wash cloths, towels, pillow cases, mattress pads etc. Some of these items were brand new. We have had repair come out on two occasions, only to be told the machine is fine. We went into Lowe's, where it was purchased, and they are unable to do anything as we did not buy the protection plan. Yet we are still under warranty. We purchased the washer and dryer set. We were insulted by customer repair as they said we needed to "Drop" in the sheets rather than balancing the load. Also to be told it might be the bleach. My wife is 67 years old and has over 50 years of laundry experience. She has 8 months to live so this makes this situation more deplorable. This is not how you treat the elderly, disabled or the dying. We have tried calling to no avail with no help! It is unconscionable how Whirlpool treats the elderly, disabled and the dying. Buyer Beware on this product! Purchase if you need trendy ripped-up sheets, pillow cases, towels, etc.! Hopefully, you are rich enough to repurchase everything that has been lost due to damage caused by this washing machine! The submit button for this review is above the add images and you can't upload the photos. Smart on Whirlpool's part so we can't put the damage this machine has done!

I found the Sensing function confusing and annoying. When you press Start the Sensing cycle light comes on. You need to press the Start button in order to start the fill cycle. The fill is continuously interrupted by sounds associated with sensing.

Failure of computer card.

Washer failed to shutoff after full cycle. The solenoid stayed energized until we unplugged the machine. We researched and found the leading cause was the card. It failed on Friday. We purchased it for a vacation home and rarely used it. It was 14 months old and outside the warranty. I replaced it through Lowe™€™s and delivered on Sunday. Lowe™€™s picked up the original washer. We filed a claim with VISA. Because we did not get a service person to access the failure, they did not honor the claim. $500 washer.
