Poor Programing, Unacceptably SLOW

I wanted to like it, but after a month I like it less and less. All the cycles are maddeningly slow for no apparent reason, it takes up to 11 minutes for it to sprinkle in enough water to reach a depth of about 2-3 inches, a real WASTE OF TIME. Most cycles are an hour plus, and about a full third of that time is waiting waiting waiting for the basket to fill to an excessively low level for both the wash and rinse time, which again is about a third of the time. For the final third it is either doing absolutely nothing but draining and spinning, which seems to take about 15 minutes. I bought this machine on sale for $500( $300 off because it was discontinued) and I regret the purchase. It has a big capacity and seems to clean ok, but no better than my old agitator model which did a full load in half the time. It now takes me twice as long to do a load of laundry. Whirlpool, what were you thinking? This is my 3rd Whirlpool washer, and I'm ready to get a Maytag instead. Whirlpool, are you reading all the bad reviews?? Why can't you FIX the Problems???

My husband purchased this washer about 3 months ago. It is absolutely awful. It does not clean your clothes. This washer actually makes them dirtier with some type of stains and lint that are on them after every wash. I have washed clothes more than once and they are still dirty.

I bought this washer in June 2018 and just replaced it. I paid over $750 for it, did not buy the extended warranty because if you need to push that, you know you're putting out a terrible product. I am very dissatisfied with this machine. It knotted up my clothes, barely added enough water to thoroughly wash the clothes, and took forever to go through a wash cycle. After just a year, the main bearing wore out and sounded like a helicopter landing in my home. I called a repairman and was told it would cost over $450 to repair, so I decided then and there it wasn't worth it and replaced it with a machine whose company has a 10 YEAR warranty. Go talk to your designers, etc about that. If I could do no stars, I would. Junk. Just purely junk. Not worth the materials with which it was made.

Dont waste your money

Paid over 700$ new for this washer. It made it just under 3 years before it started making a terrible noise. Was told that it was probably the bearings and that it wasnt covered under any type of warranty. Was priced over 400$ for them to ship new part. Started leaking and now wont power on. After some research online it seems that lots of people are having the same problem with this model. Dont waste your money. Whirlpool will do nothing to help you. Product should be recalled

Only had it for a week, have done 5 loads so far.Love it. Replaced a 15-16 year old Kenmore we'll see how it holds up. It will be doing wash for 2 people instead of 5 like the other one did.

I bought this a little over a month ago, the washer has a ton of room! It's amazing how much I can fit in this washer, and it still comes out so clean and smelling so fresh with just a regular load! It's a high efficiency washer, but has a deep water cycle I use as well. Overall love this product!

Worse washer ever

This washer leaves white streaks on my dark clothes and not sure that it even properly cleans my clothes. I use clear liquid HE detergent. I don't think there is enough water to provide a thorough wash and rinse. I've had to have the repairman come out twice to look at the thing. Using more water defeats the purpose of an HE washer. Would NOT recommend this washer at all. You should have added a rinse only cycle to the machine.

Horrible, horrible washing machine,

I should have reconsidered buying this machine when the sales person told me to put a couple of towels at the bottom of the machine before washing and keep the setting on the "deep" water. Reason being....it's made to conserve water. Yeah, it conserves water all right, by not filling the machine up properly to wash cloth/sheets. I'm so tired of taking my cloths/sheets out and they are still dry; not completely wet. I am really discussed with this machine and seriously considering donating to Good Will and getting another one that is not a Whirlpool. Shame on you Whirlpool!

Really loud while operating

I bought this to replace a 5 year old Samsung that literally rusted out & fell apart. This washer washes well, no complaints there. The only issue is that it's really loud while operating from the lid lock straight through to the spin.

This machine works like a charm - love the colorlast feature to keep my darks lasting longer than a standard washer. It is huge and maintains so much laundry in one load! The panels being all electric makes it feel high tech, but they are easy to understand. Love this machine!

Frustrated

Frustrated in Orlando 8/26/2019

It seems to work well, but was only three weeks old when it stopped allowing water flow into the machine. Had to call customer service and was on hold for 22 minutes (even though the recording said wait time was 9 minutes). Repairman replaced valve assembly. A valve having to be replaced after only three weeks is frustrating, to say the least.

I bought this few weeks ago, it worked fine in the beginning but when I tried to wash a blanket, the washer wouldn't complete the wash cycle, it kept on adding more time for wash without rinsing the cloth. It also started to make loud noise. Finally I had to shut down the washer and rinse it manually.
