Overall this dw performed well in all modes of operation. It was almost silent while running but the flashing light was obnoxious. the unit died after 9 years - not bad by todays standards and Im missing many factors as compared to a new KitchenAid. Decibel rating: LG =44 KA =41 quite noisy

I really like this dishwasher and hadnt had a single issue with it for 7 years. Recently the water pump line went bad and it wouldnt fully drain. LG was great with customer service and getting a tech out who solved the issue quickly and very nice guy. Overall Im happy and would buy again.

The Service Tech Patrick was Great He was attentive efficient friendly and thorough. The product is a disappointment. In my 50 years I have seen more than my share of dishwashers. Yes when old they die. But this 6 year old rarely used DW shouldnt have a drain hose leak specially not a tear at the clamp connection that seemed more like a product quality issue rather than wear and tear.

Quiet but doesnt clean well

Very quiet and nice looking unit. Does not clean dishes well. I suspect this is due to it be very quiet. It just doesnt spray hard enough to get the job done before. Had a Bosch before this and it was fantastic.

Dishwasher is very large. Love the 3rd rack for flatware The adjustable tines on the bottom and middle racks allow for greater flexibility when loading dishes. Dishwasher has the black stainless finish which began to flake off after just 2 years. We are very careful when wiping off the outside surface to preserve the finish. Same problem with refrigerator. We replaced the discharge pump and lines just recently after it was making loud noises and would not drain.

The operation is excellent however the racks started to corrode within one year of purchase --- numerous members of racks have rusted through. LG customer service would not replace any of the rusted racks

The upper rack is rusting alike crazy and the upper arm sprayer will not stay on. Everytime we run a cycle the top sprayer falls off and to replace you have to buy the whole upper rack.

Overall the dishwasher is well made and clean the dishes well. I really like the look of the dishwasher and button functionality. My only complaint is the racks that go in and out tend rust because they are not fully coated. I have had mine replaced under warranty which painless but the new ones are also rusting in certain areas.

Was great until it wasnt

Bought this December 2016. Washed well dried well enjoyed the adjustable racks. October 22 it started dinging incessantly. Unplugged it plugged it back in a couple hours later and the digging had stopped. Ran the cell phone diagnosis and it said nothing was wrong. 2 weeks later got an AE code. Found water in the tray under the sensor stopped it out with a paper towel plugged it back in it was fine for a week. Following week the indicator lights in the top control panels started flashing and showing partial display. Call the service guy who told us the board was bad. Decided that cost of board and gasket on the door to stop the leak was not worth repair. Bought a new dishwasher. Its another LG based on repairmans recommendation. Hopefully this one lasts more than 6 years.

The dish racks never slid out properly so I stopped using it because it wasnt worth the trouble. The bottom rack would fall into the dishwasher when pushed closed which would prevent the spinner from spinning and cleaning correctly. This would happen even with only a couple plates on the rack so it was not because I had too much on it. Also the tabs that move on the top rack to adjust for glass size broke off within a couple months. Customer service has been helpful and offered to ship me a new rack however it has been a couple months and I still have not received it.

We re-applianced our kitchen just five years ago with LG appliances drawn by their finish and reputation. Our dishwasher performs well...but with long cycles. Its racks have nearly rusted through in several places and while I was a month late reporting the issue it is somewhere in a discussion cycle at headquarters. Overall disappointed in its durability and responsiveness of customer service.

I bought the combo set of LG kitchen appliances almost 5 years ago. All have been great products. Pros: Washing cycle is extremely quiet barely audible. Filter is easy to clean. Clean cycle is generally good with only maybe a few items having food particles remaining about 1 in 10 cycles. Capacity is great I can generally stuff it full and still get a great clean. Cons: The black stainless finish is essentially a color layer on top of the silver finish and over time it peels off at the edges exposing the underlying finish. The coating on the dishwasher racks eventually will eat through and rust. Ive had to replace all 3 racks recently.

After 2 years the bottom rack started to rust. Approximately a year later the middle rack started to rust. In the last two months the connection holding the prongs in place on the middle rack broke. Now they dont stand up at all. I called LG and replacement racks were supposed to be sent. Several weeks have passed and I have not been notified that they were shipped.

We purchased this dishwasher in April of 2021 but the dishes was always wet we learned from an LG tech that they use very little water so depending on how far away your hot water heater tank is you will likely just get cold water coming in so a quick remedy is to let your hot water run in sink till very hot then run the dishwasher your dishes will be bone dry a plumber could offer other choices too .

I bought this dishwasher in 2017. It worked well but recently the tines and racks started to rust One actually broke off. My first call to Customer Service was not handled well despite the representative telling me new racks were being sent out and I could expect them in 10 days. Two to three weeks later my next call was met with professionalism. Most importantly new racks were sent out right away - at LGs expense. Thank you LG

I have owned this LG dishwasher for almost five years and have been extremely happy with it. It does a great job of cleaning and drying the dishes and it is so quiet you dont even know it is running. The top and bottom racks were rusting and LG sent me two new racks. They really back their products.

This is a great dishwasher I love the chime and whisper quiet clean cycle. My main trouble with this product is the quality... in a variety of areas. Everyone of my dish racks are rusting and leaving a red stain. The plastic is coming off on most edges and wheels. I have been trying to remedy the issue with LG. The customer service is cumbersome and when they say they will do something about it you never hear back. I would not recommend this product to a friend.

Two Repar Calls Already

I purchased this dishwasher a little over a year ago. Had Repairman-LG because the unit did not turn on at all originally. The second repair was because the child lock was engaged and could not be removed. Luckily we bought a five year warranty. The dishwasher itself works well but the electronic system that runs it has failed twice already.

Ive had this dishwasher a few years now and its great. Fits way more than my old unit. Lots of ways to adjust the racks to fit just about anything. Love having the top rack for silverware makes it easy to unload them. Its whisper quiet you can stand next to it and barely hear it.

I bought this product 4 years ago and now am waiting for my second order to replace the racks in the dishwasher. Racks are rusting out and falling apart after being replaced the first time 2 years ago. LG has them on back order and I cant even get an answer to when I can get the new ones. The coating is terrible and cant even put dishes in the rack that are rusted out. Product is junk and service/response has been terrible I would of give a 0 Start rating but I had to pick at least 1 Star. Pass and look for other options.

Bought 3 years ago. Has worked wonderful. It is quiet. Dishes get clean and dry. The only reason I only gave it a good rather than excellent rating is the dishwasher racks are starting to rust and have burn marks on them. I have had to reorder new ones which the company did provide me.

We have had this dishwasher in the house 3 years now. About 2 years after using this washer we noticed the upper rack starting to rust. It has gotten so bad that the part that holds the spinner water dispenser has rusted off and no longer is working. We contacted LG and they are sending us a replacement rack under warranty. Very happy with how it washes and drys dishes but the rack not lasting 2 years has me worried.

Weve had this unit for about 4 years now and it is the best weve ever had It really cleans and is super quiet while doing it We LOVE the upper silverware rack as it saves so much space for dishes down below. If only the washer would load and unload itself...ha Theres only one slight drawback and if I could deduct half a star I would. The coated metal racks are rusting through a bit at the junction pointsthis started about 3 years in. However I contacted LG service and even though Im a bit out of warranty they are replacing them for free so problem solved A great unit and great customer service to boot Lifes Good

Black Stainless Steel finish is very poor quality it comes off with routine cleaning. Never used any harsh cleaner or abrasive materials to cause this. Dont like the racks poor design and the rubber or vinyl to protect the dished from scratching is wearing off and rusting.

We owned our Appliance trio set my refrigerator has broke twice they had to replace the compressor and now my dishwasher just broke and of course the warranty ended on 12/2/20 and it broke on 1/5/21 and LG was no help. The gentleman that I spoke to you at LG said yea it happens. What Thats your response to a customer. I use to really like LG products but that kind of customer service left a bad taste to me.

The first year the middke rack rusted. The tines have never held stturdy. It takes far too lonh to go through the cycle. The baskets for utensils ate cheap and do nit hold onto the rack.

I bought this for years ago. It is a great dishwasher and have had no issue with it functioning properly. You need to get used to how the bottom rack slides since it is not attached but this is something you get used to after a year of use. My bottom rack developed a rust spot 4 years later but they are replacing it for free since it is within 5 years.
